It's no wonder Adrian Chinnery worked extra hard to return from Tommy John surgery — he couldn't wait to catch the Navy pitching staff.
On Sunday, Chinnery had the best seat in the house in the first game of Navy's Patriot League doubleheader with Lehigh, as freshman right-hander Noah Song delivered a one-hitter in Navy's 3-0 victory. The seven-inning game lasted 84 minutes.
In the second game, Chinnery was back behind the plate. He also was active with the bat, going 2 for 3 with an RBI as the Mids completed the sweep of the Mountain Hawks with a 10-3 win at Max Bishop Stadium.
