Senen Ubina had mixed feelings about the change of leadership that took place this past summer within the Navy squash program.
On the one hand, Ubina was going to miss long-time head coach Craig Dawson, whose resignation was announced on May 7, 2018. Dawson compiled a phenomenal 365-154 record during his 18-year tenure.
“Coach Dawson was a great mentor who did unbelievable things for Navy squash. Every player had the utmost respect for him,” Ubina said. “Personally, it was an absolute honor to be recruited and play for Coach Dawson.”
While disappointed to lose a legendary coach, Ubina was excited upon learning the name of his replacement.
