Navy and Pittsburgh take different approaches toward the same goal.
The Midshipmen employ their patented triple-option attack to hog the ball and keep the opposing offense off the field. The Panthers use a combination of power running and controlled passing to achieve the same result of dominating possession.
If both teams get their way on Monday afternoon, the Military Bowl could be a rather quick affair.
"We hope the game only lasts about 2 ½ hours. If they run it and we run it, we'll all be out of there in time for the New Year," Pittsburgh head coach Pat Narduzzi said.
