Navy was picked second in the 2019 Patriot League Preseason Poll for women’s lacrosse.
In a vote cast by the conference’s coaches and sports information contacts, the defending champion Midshipmen received 152 total votes and eight first-place votes.
Loyola-Maryland was the preseason favorite to capture the Patriot League, receiving 156 total votes and 12 first-place votes.
It was also announced on Thursday that three Navy players have been named to the preseason All-Patriot League team. They are junior attacker Kelly Larkin (Alexandria, Va.), senior midfielder Andie O’Sullivan (Valley Cottage, N.Y.) and senior defender Marie Valenti (Bechtelsville, Pa.
