Navy women's basketball received some bad news on Wednesday afternoon. Head coach Stefanie Pemper was informed by trainers that Sarita Condie, the team's best all-around player, would not be available for that night's Patriot League opener due to a sprained ankle suffered in practice on Monday.
Navy clearly missed the overall floor leadership of Condie, who is averaging 12.8 points, 4.8 rebounds and a team-high 3.0 assists while primarily playing point guard. The Midshipmen were out of sync offensively for most of the game, struggling to run plays and execute sets.
Navy stayed close for three quarters because Bucknell was equally woeful on offense.
