Seeding for the upcoming Patriot League Tournament was on the line when Navy traveled to Loyola for a matchup between teams that were locked in a four-way tie in the standings.
Seniors Tilman Dunbar and Will Kelly led an inspired effort as the visiting Midshipmen improved their positioning with five league games remaining.
Dunbar was hot from long range in scoring 20 points and the point guard also contributed six assists as Navy blew out Loyola, 71-51, before a sparse crowd of 637 at Reitz Arena. Kelly, a 6-foot-9 center, had a strong all-around floor game with 14 points, five rebounds, four assists and four blocks.
