Navy-Houston Breakdown: An inside look at the matchup

NAVY KEY: DOMINATE POSSESSION

Navy had five drives that consisted of five plays or less last Saturday versus Temple. All five of those possessions lasted just over two minutes or less. It was even worse against Air Force as eight of 10 possessions were over in five plays or fewer. None of those eight drives lasted longer than 2 ½ minutes. Navy cannot do that against Houston and have any hope of pulling the upset. The Midshipmen need to mount the type of clock-eating marches for which they are famous. The Cougars have an explosive offense and the best way to stop quarterback D’Eriq King and company is to keep them off the field.
