Navy heads to Cincinnati to face vastly improved team

Cincinnati has authored one of the biggest turnarounds in all of college football. The Bearcats suffered their second straight 4-8 season in 2017, but have rebounded big-time under the direction of second-year head coach Luke Fickell.

Fickell has pushed all the right buttons so far and Cincinnati carries a 7-1 record into Saturday afternoon’s matchup with struggling Navy (2-6). The Bearcats are 3-1 in the American Athletic Conference and very much in the hunt for the East Division title.

“Coach Fickell has done a great job of getting his culture going. Obviously, (Cincinnati) is a very improved football program and one of the best teams in our conference,” Navy head coach Ken Niumatalolo said.
