Offensive linemen Billy Honaker and Peter Nestrowitz did not initially get along as members of Navy football’s 2017 recruiting class.
After spending the 2016-17 school year at the Naval Academy Prep School, Honaker arrived in Annapolis to find two additional offensive linemen had been added to the mix. Nestrowitz and Nick Novak were direct-entry recruits and were not immediately accepted by the offensive linemen coming from NAPS.
“We felt like we had earned to be at the Naval Academy more than direct-entry recruits. We had spent a winter in Newport [Rhode Island] and put up with all the crap that comes with being at prep school,” Honaker said.
