Navy's Ken Niumatalolo could easily be described as extremely demanding on the football field. The eighth-year head coach pushes his players hard on the practice field and in every other area of preparation for games.
However, unwavering would be the best word to use with regard to Niumatalolo's expectations for Navy football players off the field. Niumatalolo is constantly lecturing the Midshipmen about representing the program in an exemplary manner when it comes to meeting the military requirements that flow through Bancroft Hall and handling the academic expectations of the classroom.
Needless to say, Niumatalolo is particularly pleased when his players go above and beyond in those areas outside of football.
