Navy football notes: Mids' secondary drops ball against Tulane

NEW ORLEANS – Navy secondary coach Dan O'Brien could only shake his head when asked after Saturday night's game about the potential interceptions his defensive backs dropped.

Tulane quarterback Johnathan Brantley had four passes that could easily have been picked off in the Green Wave's 21-14 loss to Navy.

Navy defenders were in position to snatch interceptions and had the ball bounce off their hands or shoulder pads.

Asked if the secondary unit would work on high-pointing the ball in practice next week, O'Brien said it is even more fundamental than that.

"Just work on catching it.
