Navy Football Notes: Defensive ends Anthony and Mason forming solid tandem

Head coach Ken Niumatalolo wants Navy to be more aggressive on defense in order to improve a third down conversion rate that was among the nation's worst last season.

If defensive ends Will Anthony and Amos Mason continue to perform like they did against East Carolina, that goal may come to fruition.

Anthony and Mason both spent considerable time in the backfield and their combined pressure played a big part in containing the potent passing attack of the Pirates.

Anthony was credited with five tackles, two of which went for loss and two others that resulted in no gain.
