Sean Magee wasn't looking to leave the Naval Academy. Then Jim Harbaugh called and changed the course of Magee's career.
Magee could not turn down Harbaugh's offer to serve as Director of Player Personnel for the University of Michigan football program. Simply put, it means more money, more responsibility, more professional growth and more exposure.
"It was an unbelievable opportunity that was placed before me. What this could potentially lead to is substantial," Magee said during a telephone interview with the Baltimore Sun Media Group last week.
Harbaugh has been on the cutting edge of college football with some of the ways he has promoted Michigan football since taking over as head coach three years ago.
