NAVY KEY: Win turnover battle
The easiest way to give an underdog a chance is by committing turnovers. Navy cannot waste possessions or create short fields for the Colgate offense by losing fumbles or tossing interceptions. Turnovers were a problem for the Midshipmen last season and were the primary cause for several losses. Navy finished with 22 turnovers (17 fumbles, 5 interceptions) with opponents scoring 73 points off them. That was uncharacteristic of the Mids, who normally rank among the national leaders for fewest turnovers.
