The Patriot League announced Friday night this weekend’s doubleheader between Navy and American has been postponed. The Midshipmen were set to travel to D.C. for afternoon games Saturday and Sunday at Bender Arena.
Both contests were called off when American announced it was pausing all athletic activities for a minimum of 10 days due to a slight increase in the department’s COVID-19 positivity rate.
In a news release, the American athletic department stated “this action is being taken out of an abundance of caution, in accordance with current protocols and in the best interest of the health and safety of all student-athletes, coaches and staff.
