Air Force and Notre Dame are two of the biggest games on the Navy schedule each season.
Because of the rivalry nature of those matchups, each is greatly anticipated by players and much-hyped by the media.
Never before in the history of Navy football have the Air Force and Notre Dame games come on consecutive Saturdays. Getting up for their annual meeting with the Fighting Irish just one week after defeating the Falcons in an emotional service academy contest is a new challenge the Midshipmen must face.
"If we have a letdown versus Notre Dame than we don't deserve to win the game anyway," Navy coach Ken Niumatalolo said.
