Midshipmen look to tighten up the passing game

Slotback DeBrandon Sanders slipped out of the backfield unnoticed and raced down the field on a wheel route. There wasn't a defender within 15 yards.

Navy offensive coordinator Ivin Jasper had caught the Southern Methodist University safeties napping and it looked like a sure touchdown.

However, Navy quarterback Keenan Reynolds did not deliver the ball where it was supposed to be, overthrowing Sanders by a couple yards.

A few plays later, on the same possession, Reynolds overthrew wide receiver Craig Scott, who was streaking down the middle of the field every bit as wide open.

Navy routed SMU, 55-14, last Saturday as Reynolds rushed for 137 yards and four touchdowns.
