Andrew Breiner watched the Chase Edmonds highlight film one time and knew he discovered a transformative talent.
Breiner showed the tape to Fordham head coach Joe Moorhead and asked if he could offer a scholarship to the running back from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
"You can go ahead and offer, but that kid is going to wind up at Penn State or Temple," Moorhead told Breiner, the offensive coordinator at the time.
Fordham was the first school to offer the Central Dauphin East High standout a scholarship and that resonated with the youngster. Temple eventually made a run at Edmonds, but he felt a certain sense of loyalty to the Football Championship Subdivision school located in the Bronx.
