Optimism abounded on both the men's and women's sides as Navy held a joint basketball media event on Tuesday. Both squads are loaded with returning players and are hoping experience leads to improved results on the court.
Navy women's basketball brings back 10 letter winners, including four starters. Wing forward Chloe Stapleton was the only player on the entire roster lost to graduation.
"It should be a good one," women's coach Stefanie Pemper said when asked her thoughts on the upcoming campaign. "We have some experience coming back and some freshman I think will help. We have some depth, some size, some athleticism and some scoring.
