With his graduation from the Naval Academy behind him, Sam Sorenson figured he'd slip off to Bermuda for a little down time before beginning a career with the Marine Corps.
But instead of packing for the North Atlantic Ocean, it's North Carolina where Sorenson is headed next.
On Monday, Sorenson and his Navy baseball teammates learned they'd been assigned to the Raleigh Regional for the NCAA Tournament. The Mids (42-14-1) will be seeded fourth and matched against host and top-seeded North Carolina State (35-20) on Friday at 7 p.m. at Doak Field, home of the 22nd-ranked Wolfpack.
