NAVY WOMEN’S LACROSSE: Assistant coach Aly Messinger has been promoted to associate head coach for offense, head coach Cindy Timchal announced. Messinger has served as an assistant coach for the Midshipmen since 2017.
Over the past two seasons, Messinger has helped the Midshipmen reach historic heights. Navy has advanced to the NCAA Quarterfinals each of the last two seasons, and in 2017 became the first women’s team from a Service Academy to advance to an NCAA Final Four.
Since her arrival in 2017, Navy has posted the best two offensive seasons in school history, recording the top two efforts in points, points per game, goals, assists, assists per game, shots attempted, and shots on goal.
