The Patriot League knew there was a high probability makeup games would need to be played during a basketball season held amidst a pandemic.
Such foresight prompted the Patriot League to build an open weekend into the schedule. Feb. 27-28, a Saturday and Sunday, was left open between the end of the originally scheduled regular season and the start of the Patriot League Tournament on March 6.
The Patriot League announced Monday the two schools will make up men’s and women’s doubleheaders, originally scheduled for the weekend of Jan. 9-10, will now be played the last weekend in February.
