Hutchinson to skipper New York Yacht Club challenge for 36th America's Cup

Terry Hutchinson long ago reached the pinnacle of professional sailing, and has pretty much accomplished everything possible in the sport.

However, there is still one lifelong goal that has eluded the Harwood native.

Hutchinson may never have a better chance of capturing the coveted America’s Cup than he has been given now.

On Thursday, the New York Yacht Club sent shockwaves through the sport of sailing by announcing it will challenge for the America’s Cup following a decade and a half absence. Commodore Philip A. Lotz said the New York Yacht Club will be represented by a newly-formed syndicate known as Bella Mente Quantum Racing Association.
