It was another memorable night of emotion and nostalgia as the Anne Arundel County Sports Hall of Fame welcomed a pair of accomplished coaches and two outstanding athletes into its ranks.
Large contingents of loyal players turned out to fete legendary lacrosse coach Willis Bilderback and respected baseball coach Mel Montgomery. Ex-teammates joined with former coaches and family to honor two-sport standout Betsy Elder Grizzle and basketball star Corey Wallace.
Those four individuals were formally enshrined during the 26th annual Anne Arundel County Sports Hall of Fame induction banquet, held on Wednesday night at Michael's Eighth Avenue in Glen Burnie.
