NAVY WOMEN’S SOCCER: Freshman Victoria Tran netted the game-winning walk-off goal in the 99th minute to give Navy a 3-2 overtime victory over American University in Patriot league action at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility Wednesday night.
Navy went down 2-0 within the first 28 minutes of play and the teams abandoned the action for an hour and 39 minutes due to a lightning delay. The Mids (6-3-3, 3-0 PL) flipped the script after the delay, culminating in the run of three unanswered goals to defeat the Eagles (5-3-3, 0-2-1 PL). Eleanor Pratt scored the first two goals to force overtime.
