NAVY WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: Navy will host Marist College in a 2 p.m. non-conference contest on Sunday. The game between the Mids (1-0) and Red Foxes (0-0) will feature two programs that have combined to win 200 games over the past five years as the Mids have been victorious 101 times, while the Red Foxes have been on the winning side of 99 games between 2013-14 and 2017-18. Navy defeated Marist, 77-70, in the 2017-18 season opener in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
UMBC MEN’S BASKETBALL: Sophomore Brandon Horvath (Southern) recorded career highs of 19 points and 11 rebounds in posting his first career double-double as the Retrievers scored a school record 64 second-half points in a 93-45 victory over Shenandoah.
