NAVY WATER POLO: The Navy water polo team closed out an important weekend of home CWPA action on Sunday with its third win in 24 hours, a 14-7 victory over George Washington. A well-rounded team effort helped the host Mids (10-7, 4-2 CWPA) lead wire-to-wire over the Colonials (3-17, 0-7 CWPA) at Scott Natatorium.
Robert Sutherland, David Huber and Matt Skowronski all recorded multiple goals for Navy, while Garrett Sabesky, Beau Bayless and Caleb Lintz all split time in goal.
On Saturday, Navy was set on redeeming itself after an 0-2 showing versus Bucknell and Johns Hopkins last week, a hard-fought and crisp 9-7 win over the Bison set the tone before an improbable 12-11 come-from-behind victory in overtime versus the Blue Jays capped the Mids' 2-0 day at Scott Natatorium.
