College Roundup: Navy pitching shuts down Princeton in sweep

NAVY BASEBALL: The Midshipmen got dominant pitching and timely hitting on Saturday as the team swept a doubleheader from Princeton at Terwilliger Brothers Field at Max Bishop Stadium. The Mids (17-5-1) defeated the Tigers, 1-0, in Game 1 behind a complete game shutout by Luke Gillingham and then used seven shutout innings from George Coughlin and three hits by Robert Currie to win the second contest, 7-0.

Navy's pitching staff combined to hold Princeton to just six hits over 16.0 innings of action. In game one, Gillingham earned the shutout with two hits allowed, while Coughlin permitted three hits over his seven innings on the mound in the second game.
