College roundup: Mids shut out Susquehanna

NAVY BASEBALL: The Mids used a dominant pitching performance to earn their 37th win of the year with a 3-0 victory over Susquehanna. In a matchup that served as preparation for both teams' upcoming postseason competitions, the Mids (37-15) used seven pitchers in the combined shutout.

Noah Song and Kyle Condry led the Mids' pitching effort as the duo recorded seven strikeouts over the first four innings. As a staff, the Mids allowed seven hits - all singles - and only once allowed a baserunner to reach third base.

UM BASEBALL: The Terrapins (31-15, 14-7 Big Ten) scored four runs in the top of the ninth to tie its game with host Illinois, but ultimately fell 8-6 after a walk-off homer in the bottom half of the inning.
