NAVY WATER POLO: Carl Dowzicky represented the Navy water polo team on the Collegiate Water Polo Association's All-Southern Division First Team in an announcement made by the league office on Thursday. Dowzicky, a senior utility, was one of seven players named to the first team.
A leader for the Mids on both ends of the pool, the three-time All-South honoree, claims a spot on the first team for the second time in his storied career; Dowzicky was a second-teamer in 2014 after earning Player of the Year accolades in 2013. This fall in 24 games, he has recorded team-highs in points (81), goals (53), assists (28) and steals (39).
