Budweiser Clydesdales visiting Annapolis for Military Bowl parade

Ivan may be the smallest horse on the team, but he has a big personality.

The Budweiser Clydesdale — who is about 18 hands (6 feet) tall — will be at the front of the world-famous group of horses to be featured in the Military Bowl parade, which begins at 11 a.m. today.

"(Leaders) show more personality and liveliness," handler Larry Manypenny said. "Because they're up front, they're going to show off a little more."

The biggest horses — like Nomo, who stands at 6 feet 3 inches at his shoulder — are at the back of the formation, pulling the carriage along.
