Bill Wagner: Navy's triple-option offense still seeking consistency

DALLAS, Texas – An old football coach once declared “If you have two quarterbacks, you actually have none.”

If that statement is true, what about a team that uses three quarterbacks? That would not be entirely fair as it applies to Navy, which has three good quarterbacks. Unfortunately, each of them is only good at doing certain things.

Starter Malcolm Perry is a spectacular runner, able to turn the slightest opening into a highlight reel run. The 5-foot-9 speedster is most dangerous on quarterback keepers to the perimeter in which he can make a lightning-quick move to make a defender miss then cutback against the grain and gain big yardage.
