Bill Wagner: Navy needs to make changes and get back to running the triple-option

COLORADO SPRINGS – Navy’s offense is in shambles and something must be done immediately or else the program risks losing its identity.

Based off what has transpired so far this season, some might say that has already happened.

Navy football is all about the triple-option, the unique offense that has been the catalyst for winning records in 14 of the previous 15 seasons. There was a time when the Midshipmen were the unquestioned masters of the triple-option, running their patented version of the offense as efficiently and effectively as any school in the history of college football.
