EDITOR'S NOTE: This is the fourth in a series of position breakdowns for the Navy football team following spring practice.
Head coach Ken Niumatalolo annually raves about Navy's slotback depth. The Midshipmen have recruited well at that position and always seem to have a strong stable of talented slots.
That depth was severely tested last season when injuries beset the position. Josh Brown suffered a season-ending foot injury against Notre Dame while Josh Walker, Calvin Cass Jr., Toneo Gulley and Dishan Romine all missed games with various ailments.
"We have great depth at slot, and we are going deep," Niumatalolo said of the situation in mid-November.
