Air Force defenders respect Reynolds, not in awe of Navy quarterback

Keenan Reynolds has received considerable media attention and publicity during his record-setting career. The four-year starter is mentioned in the same breath as Roger Staubach as one of the greatest quarterbacks in Navy history.

Reynolds introduced himself to the nation as a freshman when he replaced an injured Trey Miller and led Navy to a dramatic come-from-behind victory over Air Force. He entered at the 9:03 mark of the fourth quarter and promptly directed a game-tying touchdown drive.

Reynolds capped that drive by scoring his first collegiate touchdown on a 15-yard run to set up a game-tying two-point conversion by fullback Noah Copeland, but it was the second play of the possession that really impressed head coach Ken Niumatalolo.
