By now, we all know the story. If it were a dissertation written about the subject it would be entitled “The impact of physical injuries and under-performing athletes of the Nashville Predators during the 2018-19 NHL season.” Still, the Predators are currently the top team in the Western Conference standings.
Can it last? Who knows. The Colorado Avalanche are making a strong statement right now, winning six consecutive games. Other teams, like the Winnipeg Jets, lurk lower in the standings but are fully capable of making strong runs to close out the season. The Jets can score and have a top-level goalie who is struggling this season.
