The Nashville Predators may soon be known as Swedish Hockey West.
The Predators group of Swedish players grew by one last game with the addition of Pontus Aberg. That swelled the group of current Swedish players to six, about a quarter of the current roster.
In addition to star Swede, Filip Forsberg the Nashville Predators Swedish contingent is represented by Mattias Ekholm, Calle Jarnkrok, Victor Arvidsson, Petter Granberg and Aberg. Winger Max Gortz also plays for Milwaukee and had 47 points in 72 games this season for the Admirals.
