The Predators haven’t done very much to improve thisoffseason, because they didn’t need to add much in order to improve. Their biggest liabilities last year were adjusting to a new system and youth. And while everyone can agree that it didn’t take long for the Preds to pick up the new system at 5-on-5, it was just as apparent that the power play was a huge Achilles’ heel for them.
Nashville Predators
Nashville was 25th in the NHL on the power play last year, connecting at an absolutely pathetic 16.2%. It’s not imperative to have a great power play to do well in the NHL (both Anaheim and Minnesota had worse PP’s than Nashville).
