The 2017-18 NHL season was one for the record books. The Nashville Predators claimed the franchises first ever division crown and regular season conference championship. It was not only the best season in the team’s history, but the best season of all teams last year. But, the Presidents’ Trophy seems like a consolation prize after the early ousting from the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
In order to make such history, the Predators relied on special performances from players. Certainly, seeing Filip Forsberg and Viktor Arvidsson notch spectacular goals was amazing in itself. The growth of Kevin Fiala and Craig Smith was refreshing.
