Early in my hockey career, my dad used to tell me “a good pass to a bad player, is a bad pass.” While at the time it didn’t make much sense to me, I now understand it. Sometimes you need to surround talent with equal talent, especially early in their careers. Overcoming bad linemates is a tough task. After watching the games earlier this week, it is obvious the Nashville Predators are aware of that.
Putting a smaller player like Filip Forsberg on the fourth line with Austin Watson and Colton Sissons would do nothing for each player.
