It at 6:09 PM (EST) when Peter Newsome (@SincerelyPeter) replied to the tweet by the Nashville Predators twitter page with “I vote Jeff” and the rest of the community followed.
It spawned a ton of replies, rallying for the Predators to name their new jumbotron Jeff, with an overwhelming outcry from throughout the community.
From a picture of Sidney Crosby holding up a sign that says “The Preds should name their scoreboard Jeff” (created by @NSHHouseCats) to a gif of people running from a herd of sheep with the word “Jeff” popping up on top of them (created by @tnenforcer), the community had a lot of creative ways to show their desire for the team to name the jumbotron Jeff.
