Nashville Predators draft F Ryker Lee 26th overall

With the 26th overall pick, originally from the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Preds have drafted forward Ryker Lee.

Lee — a graduate of Shattuck St. Mary’s — played for the Madison Capitols of the USHL last season, where he accumulated 58 points (31G/38A) in 68 games. He’s committed to play hockey at Michigan State University.

This is a little earlier than many scouts projected Lee going, but EliteProspects evaluates him as a talented puckhandler and great passer. While they note he’s not terribly fast, he’s developed other skills to make up for it.

Barring something very unexpected, this will be the Preds’ last pick of the night.
