For three quarters, Wyoming went toe-to-toe with Nebraska at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln. Wyoming trailed by just one score heading into the games final 15 minutes.
And then it went south, quickly.
Wyoming redshirt sophomore quarterback Josh Allen got careless with the ball, and the Cornhuskers ran away with a 52-17 win.
Wyoming junior running back Brian Hill scored from a yard out late in the third quarter that pulled the Cowboys within seven at 24-17. Allen was seen on the Wyoming’s sideline pumped up and passing on some words of encouragement to his defense.
Both Allen and the defense couldn’t seize the momentum.
