Wyoming safety Andrew Wingard out for spring with broken hand

Some bad news happened this week during Wyoming spring football regarding former freshman All-American defensive back Andrew Wingard. He left practice on Thursday with what was feared to be a broken hand.

“I would say there is a great likelihood that he will likely miss the rest of spring, which is disappointing, but it’s where it is,” head coach Craig Bohl said Thursday after practice.

The official diagnostics is a broken hand, and more specifically an oblique fracture to his ring finger, he is out for spring and the recovery time is 6-8 weeks.

“If you watch the film, I kind of hit my hand on his leg,” Wingard told Pokes Authority.
