Former Western Kentucky guard Chris McNeal has announced that he will be transferring to New Mexico, according to his Twitter page Monday evening.
McNeal is a 6-0, 195-pound point guard from Jackson, Tennessee. McNeal spent his first season at Western Kentucky before heading to the JUCO level. He averaged 5.6 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.9 assists in 34 games for the Hilltoppers in 2015-16.
With Indian Hills CC last season, McNeal upped his scoring average to 13.1 points per game. According to Albuquerque Journal’s Geoff Grammer, McNeal was named to the NJCAA honorable mention All-American team for his efforts this past season.
