The Spartans are hot coming off a successful weekend series against their conference rivals, UNLV. SJSU was able to complete the sweep over the Rebels, beating them 2-1, 6-5, and 7-6. They got a good mix of strong hitting and pitching over the course of the weekend, and this has translated into the best record in the MWC. They did however drop a mid-week contest against Sacramento State, losing 7-2. But even with this lost in mind, San José is still one of the strongest teams in the conference, and #1 in this week’s rankings.
