Rodney Terry has officially been hired as the new head coach of the UTEP Miners. The Miners are coming off of a 11-20 season, finishing 11th in the Conference USA standings. UTEP and Fresno State played one another in the 2014 CBI tournament, with the Miners losing 56-61 to Coach Terry’s Bulldogs in the first round.
Coach Terry ends his tenure at Fresno State with a 126-108 record (62-58 MWC) coaching the Bulldogs to a winning record each of the past three seasons, including the Mountain West Championship and NCAA appearance (2015-16) which was the ‘Dogs first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2001.
