SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The first thing made apparent by Chip Kelly during his formal introduction as the 49ers' new head coach Wednesday: he's no Jim Tomsula.
Tomsula, the coach that was just fired following a 5-11 season, mumbled and stumbled through his introductory presser this time last year after being promoted to replace the charismatic Jim Harbaugh. It didn't exactly breathe confidence into a team wrought with turmoil.
