Shortly after landing in Boise, Idaho, the San Jose State team and entourage learned their nationally-televised game today was Covid-canceled.
The uptick trend in that region and in the last few weeks with the Boise State team makes it not a complete surprise. The Broncos had been missing up to 14 players the last two weeks due to Covid-related findings.
The last-minute cancelation assumption at this point is a downturn in the region and the Bronco’s Covid numbers.
The disappointment also goes a bit deeper.
Besides all the lost time and money in travel logistics, the team will salvage something in alternative preparation, bonding time, and chalk it up to another learning moment.
