San Jose State Opens Hoop Season With Resounding Win

The Spartans are expected to be a team that will have the principal players that are sophomores. In other words, an inexperienced team. No one can argue that but it appears that two true freshmen came to show they could hold their own in the Spartans 101-64 win. No, this wasn’t Duke or Oregon that SJS played but it’s still good that the boys in blue were never pressed in a game that doesn’t really matter. Exhibitions are games where everyone plays and you hope all the peach-fuzz frosh can make a statement; and they did.

6-2 freshman guard Terrell Brown saw plenty of action as he scored 13 points in 5-11 shooting and 2-2 from the line.
